New Patient Intake Nurse

Job Description

Maria Bird Perkins Cancer Center is seeking a Coordinator to assist with patient care and requests through new patient intake and scheduling for all physicians. The Coordinator will participate in training associated with EMR conversion Mosaiq and OncoEMR, taking the lead as a physician liaison upon conversion and from there forward.

• Coordinates new patient intake and care for all physicians
• EMR Data Specialist and Provider Liaison
• Affords assistance to Triage Nurses
• Tracks and reports incoming referral patterns
• Schedules all new consult patients

Qualifications

• 3 years of nursing experience in a clinic required
• Oncology Nursing Experience Preferred
• Active RN or LPN licensure in good standing with the state of LA required
• BLS CPR required
• ONS/OCN highly preferred
• Oncology clinic and/or infusion operations knowledge highly preferred
