New Orleans, Louisiana – Community Grounds Monitor (Multifamily & Affordable Housing)

About the role

The Community Grounds Monitor is responsible for keeping the grounds of the community in an attractive condition; and for keeping exteriors, common areas, vacant apartments, sidewalks, and alleyways of the community clean and safe. The Grounds Keeper also assists in other types of maintenance when necessary.

Responsibilities

• Provide service to residents in a prompt, courteous, and professional manner when needed
• Walk the entire property daily picking up all debris and trash, operating the compactor, and emptying all common area trash cans
• Keep curbs and speed breakers painted and in good repair
• Maintain and clean the pool and pool area
• Perform other duties as assigned by the service manager
• Assist in special projects or activities designated by the Company, including due diligence, property acquisition/disposition, or participation in company-sponsored committees

Requirements

• High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)
• One to two years related experience preferred, but not necessary
• Must be a well-organized and self-starter who can work efficiently with little supervision
• Completion of in-house training within the first 90 days of employment
• Enjoy the work and demonstrate a pleasant demeanor on the job with a desire for success
• Exhibit behavior consistent with the Vision, Mission, and Core Values of the Company

Qualifications

• CPO (Certified Pool Operator) certification desired
