New Nurse RN Residency Program

About the Role

HCA Florida Citrus Hospital offers a year-long paid nurse residency program designed to help new graduates transition from student nurse to registered nurse. As a Resident I Graduate Nurse, you will work in a supportive community of nurse educators, experienced nurses, and fellow residents that promotes learning, clinical application, and professional development.

You will coordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in accordance with departmental requirements and nursing standards of practice. Working collaboratively with medical providers and care team members, you will provide individualized, comprehensive, and compassionate care using established nursing models.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient condition during admission and each shift, identifying and reporting changes in patient status.
• Perform procedures and monitor as ordered by medical providers.
• Administer prescribed medications and monitor for therapeutic response.
• Respond promptly to patient requests and anticipate needs.
• Teach patients, families, and caregivers about medical conditions, treatment plans, medications, and follow-up measures.
