Duties/Responsibilities
- Carry out psychiatric evaluations and assessments to develop individualized treatment plans.
- Manage medications, evaluate their effectiveness, and adjust dosages as needed.
- Create and maintain accurate medical records, including progress notes and treatment plans.
- Collaborate with other mental health professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Attend treatment team meetings to discuss patient progress and coordinate care.
- Participate in continuing education programs to stay updated on best practices and new research.
Requirements
- Completion of a residency training program in psychiatry and at least two years of post-residency experience.
- M.D. or D.O. degree from an accredited medical school.
- Licensure as a physician in the applicable state, including the ability to prescribe controlled substances.
- A valid state driver’s license may be required.
