About The Job

This position is located in the Mortgage Servicing Division of SC Housing. In this role, you will work under limited supervision of the Cashiering & REO Manager, supporting the daily operations of SC Housing New Loan Set Up department. Provide prompt, courteous customer service to SC Housing customers as a point of contact for new loan customers. Responsible to provide a positive, professional image of SC Housing.

Your Duties Will Include

  • Assist new customers with setting up online accounts.
  • Populate and maintain mortgagee clause tracking sheet
  • Update mortgagee clauses online with insurers that provide this functionality. Perform follow up via e-mail/phone with other insurance providers/agents to ensure Hazard Insurance policies for new borrowers list SC Housing as Mortgagee.
  • Assist with processing daily escrow mail
  • Provide assistance to NLSU team with onboarding new loans as needed.

Minimum And Additional Requirements

Agency Minimum Qualifications:

  • A bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting, management or a related field.
  • OR An associate's degree and two (2) years of full-time, relevant experience.
  • OR A high school diploma or equivalent and four (4) years of full-time, relevant experience.

Additional Requirements:

  • Knowledge of personal computers, Windows operating system, and Microsoft Office Suite with strong proficiency in Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Must have exceptional written and verbal communication skills in order to communicate effectively with customers, staff and peers with a customer-oriented focus.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to exercise judgment and discretion in performance of duties.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective internal and external working relationships.
  • Must be detail oriented and analytical with the ability to organize multiple tasks and set priorities.
  • Ability to work within strict deadlines and meet regulatory compliance.
  • Expected to be innovative and actively seek solutions to streamline duties and exercise personal initiative in all areas of job performance.
  • Must be able to lift and carry files, books and reports weighing up to 20lbs.
  • Must be able to perform filing, desk work and operate general office equipment.
  • Must be able to sit or stand for prolonged or intermittent periods of time while sharing, gathering or presenting information to other staff members or external parties.
  • Ability to continuously stand or walk, climb or balance, stoop, kneel crouch, crawl, and lift frequently.
  • Ability to use hands/finger to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms.
  • Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
