New Homes Sales Counselor
About the role
TriCoast Homes is growing, and we're looking for driven New Home Sales Counselors to join our team in the Houston area. We're looking for more than someone who can open a model home and wait for traffic. We want true sales professionals who are proactive, competitive, relationship-driven, and motivated to create their own opportunities. The ideal candidate knows that successful new home sales require consistent prospecting, strong follow-up, Realtor relationships, market knowledge, and the confidence to ask for the sale. You'll guide buyers through one of the biggest decisions of their lives while taking ownership of your community's sales performance and delivering an exceptional customer experience from the first conversation through closing.
What You'll Do
- Meet and exceed established monthly, quarterly, and annual sales and closing goals.
- Proactively generate traffic through prospecting, Realtor outreach, networking, referrals, promotions, and consistent lead follow-up.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with local Realtors and actively grow your realtor network.
- Identify and qualify prospective buyers by understanding their needs, motivation, timeline, and potential objections.
- Confidently present available homes, community features, financing opportunities, incentives, and overall value.
- Convert leads into appointments and appointments into sales through disciplined follow-up and relationship building.
- Guide buyers through the sales and contract process while creating a positive, professional experience.
- Coordinate with buyers, Realtors, mortgage lenders, construction teams, and internal partners to help keep each transaction on track through closing.
- Maintain accurate and timely prospect and customer information using CRM and company sales tools.
- Stay informed about community inventory, competition, pricing, incentives, and local market conditions.
- Maintain model home/studio presentation, community marketing materials, signage, and required sales documentation.
- Maintain strong buyer relationships throughout construction and after closing.
- Represent TriCoast Homes with professionalism, integrity, accountability, and a customer-first approach.
The Sales Professional We Want
Today's market rewards sales professionals who are willing to do what the average salesperson won't. At TriCoast Homes, successful Sales Counselors don't simply wait for buyers to walk through the door. They prospect, follow up, build relationships, overcome objections, create urgency, solve problems, and ask for the sale. We provide the homes, tools, marketing, financing programs, incentives, and support. You bring the drive, discipline, and sales ability to turn those resources into results.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; college degree in sales, marketing, business, or a related field preferred.
- 3+ years of sales experience; new home sales experience strongly preferred.
- Proven ability to prospect, build relationships, follow up consistently, and close business.
