New Home Consultant

M/I Homes, a leading homebuilder with over 50 years of experience, seeks a New Home Consultant to join its dynamic team. The ideal candidate will guide customers through the homebuying process, collaborate with internal teams, and maintain M/I Homes' industry-leading standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Convert visiting customers into future homeowners
  • Generate sales using marketing materials, model homes, and realtor relationships
  • Achie monthly, quarterly, and annual sales and customer service goals with minimal supervision
  • Stay informed about market trends and competitors to maintain M/I Homes' competitive edge
  • Provide education on M/I Homes' offerings, community advantages, financing programs, and more
  • Act as the primary point of contact for homebuyers, supporting them from initial meeting to home closing
  • Collaborate with internal teams and attend division meetings to ensure effective communication and a seamless homebuilding process
  • Maintain M/I Homes' brand image by monitoring community appearance and home maintenance

Requirements

  • Associate's degree preferred but not required; equivalent training in sales and marketing
  • Minimum 2 years of new home sales experience in the housing market with a proven track record of success
  • Goal-oriented with the ability to balance individual and collaborative team work
  • Adaptable, confident, creative, resilient, self-motivated, and customer-service oriented
  • Strong communication skills, including active listening, observation, negotiation, selling, and organizational abilities
  • Proficient in computer skills and willing to adapt to new technologies
  • Currently possesses and maintains all appropriate state and local real estate licenses

Work Conditions

  • Weekend work required
  • Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Personal cell phone for business use and valid driver's license required
