The New Home Consultant is responsible for guiding homebuyers through the purchasing process, from initial engagement to closing. This role requires proactive sales techniques, customer relationship management, and a strong understanding of the housing market to ensure a seamless experience for buyers.

Engage Visitors

  • Establish relationships
  • Determine home buying needs

Generate, Process, and Close Sales

  • Generate leads
  • Process leads
  • Closely with customers from initial contact through closing and post-closing activities

Maintain Welcome Home Center and Model Homes

  • Ensure the condition of the Welcome Home Center, model homes, and inventory homes
  • Communicate maintenance needs and ensure timely resolution

Travel and Prospecting

  • Travel throughout the local community
  • Generate leads from Realtor/Co-Broker businesses, referrals, and proactive self-prospecting

Market Knowledge

  • Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of the competitive market
  • Monitor and record daily customer traffic

Internal Collaboration

  • Collaborate with internal departments
  • Ensure a smooth transaction and exceptional customer satisfaction

Participation in Meetings and Initiatives

  • Participate in sales meetings
  • Participate in neighborhood promotions
  • Participate in marketing initiatives

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • College degree and real estate license preferred
  • Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in new home sales, real estate, or related field
  • Proven ability to build relationships and close sales
  • Strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and sales tracking tools
  • Self-motivated with a results-driven mindset and ability to work independently

Physical & Office/Site Presence Requirements

  • Regular, in-person attendance at Company communities/job sites and offices during regular work hours
  • May require the ability to work more than eight hours per day in the confined quarters of a construction trailer
  • Ability to operate a motor vehicle
  • Read plans, climb stairs and ladders, bend, stoop, reach, lift, move and/or carry equipment which may be in excess of 50 pounds
  • Occasional operation of construction equipment
  • Finger dexterity may be required to operate a computer keyboard and calculator
