New Graduate Veterinary Surgeon (Small Animal and Equine Mix)

About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic new graduate to join our RCVS-accredited, first-opinion small animal and equine practice in Guernsey. Our practice is busy with an interesting caseload and offers a supportive team environment.

Responsibilities

• Follow a 4-week rotation schedule: 1 week of equine, 1 week of small animal, 1 week of surgeries, and 1 week of prep room under the guidance of an experienced vet.
• Assist in consultations and visits alongside an experienced vet during the introductory period.
• Work a 4-day rota from 8AM - 6:30PM, 1 in 3 weekends, and 1 on-call per week.
• Receive support from the VetGDP programme with Mairi Le Cocq and the new graduate programme with VetPartners.

Requirements

The ideal candidate should be a recent graduate with a passion for veterinary medicine and a strong interest in both small animals and horses. Prior experience is not necessary, but a willingness to learn and adapt is essential.
