New Graduate Registered Nurse

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Provide direct patient care within the scope of practice.
• Direct and guide patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care.
• Directly responsible and accountable for the care given to assigned patients.
• Communicate with the physician about changes in the patient’s clinical condition, including hemodynamic monitoring, results of diagnostic studies, and abnormal results and symptomatology.
• Respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and/or response to treatment.
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality.
• Complete 8 - 16 weeks of new graduate orientation with an appointed preceptor (dependent on unit).

Requirements

• Completing final semester of an accredited ADN/BSN/MSN program within six months, or have graduated within the last six months of the start of the program.
• Valid Illinois RN license verified by the IDFPR website.
• BLS CPR card through American Heart Association.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Basic Arrythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
• Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
• Previous Acute Care hospital experience preferred.
• Ventilator Management experience preferred.
• Medical-Surgical Nurse-Board Certified (RN-BC) or similar certification preferred.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Pay

A reasonable compensation estimate for this role is $35.35 to $53.58 per hour. The exact starting compensation will be determined based on factors such as skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials, and licensure.

• Full-time, 12-hour shifts: 7a - 7p or 7p - 7a
