Responsibilities
- Deliver safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
- Provide direct patient care within the scope of practice.
- Direct and guide patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care.
- Directly responsible and accountable for the care given to assigned patients.
- Communicate with the physician about changes in the patient’s clinical condition, including hemodynamic monitoring, results of diagnostic studies, and abnormal results/symptomatology.
- Respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and/or response to treatment.
- Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality.
New Graduate RNs receive 8–16 weeks of orientation with an appointed preceptor (dependent on unit).
Requirements
- Completing final semester of an accredited ADN/BSN/MSN program within six months, or graduated within the last six months of the start of the program.
- Valid Illinois RN license verified by the IDFPR website.
- BLS CPR card through American Heart Association.
- Current and valid state RN license.
- Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
- Current ACLS certificate within 30 days of hire and maintain current.
- Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
- Previous Acute Care hospital experience preferred.
- Ventilator Management experience preferred.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
Schedule
Full-time, 12-hour shifts: 7:00 AM–7:30 PM or 7:00 PM–7:30 AM.
Pay
A reasonable compensation estimate for this role is $35.35 to $53.58 per hour. The exact starting compensation will be determined based on factors such as skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials, and licensure.
