About the role
This full-time, night-shift position provides direct clinical patient care. The role assumes responsibility for assessing, planning, implementing, and supervising direct clinical care to assigned patients on a per-shift basis and at the unit level. You will supervise staff to whom appropriate care is delegated and support the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) to ensure high-quality, safe, and appropriate nursing care, competency of clinical staff, and resource management related to patient care. This position may qualify for a sign-on bonus.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (Bachelor's Degree preferred)
- Current Texas State License for Registered Nurse
- Active healthcare provider Basic Life Support (BLS) certification on hire (American Red Cross or American Heart Association); must obtain AHA Healthcare Provider BLS within 60 days of hire
- For Dialysis Department: ACLS (AHA) must be completed within 60 days of hire or transfer into the unit
- For Behavioral Health Unit: Non-Violent Crisis Intervention must be obtained within 60 days of hire or transfer into the role
Experience
- Med/Surg and Behavioral Health: No minimum experience required
- Dialysis: 1 year in acute/chronic dialysis (2 years preferred)
- Med/Surg (preferred): 2 years in acute care
- Behavioral Health (preferred): 2 years in a psychiatric facility
