New Accounts Administrator

This is a contract opportunity ending on December 31, 2026, with a flexible hybrid schedule as part of Fidelity’s dynamic working arrangement. The work location is 483 Bay Street in Toronto until approximately late 2026, when it will change to the new Mississauga office at 3 Robert Speck Parkway. Current work authorization for Canada is required.

About the role

Fidelity Clearing Canada (FCC) is the leading independent clearing broker and custodian in the Canadian market. We provide trade execution, clearing, custody, and back-office support services to Canadian-based brokerage firms and the Canadian brokerage arms of U.S.-based firms.

The New Accounts team is responsible for opening and reviewing new accounts into the Dataphile environment in a timely manner. You will support a broad range of account lifecycle and client maintenance activities, requiring strong analytical skills, risk awareness, and the ability to manage both routine and complex account updates across multiple systems. You will ensure documents adhere to internal and regulatory industry requirements and provide clear instructions to clients regarding any deficiencies to ensure an effortless experience.

Responsibilities

• Support account lifecycle and client maintenance activities.
• Open and review new accounts in the Dataphile environment.
• Manage routine and complex account updates across multiple systems.
• Ensure documents comply with internal and regulatory industry requirements.
• Provide clear instructions to clients regarding any deficiencies.

Requirements

• Post-secondary education or equivalent work experience.
• 1–2 years of experience in the financial services industry.
• Familiarity with different account types, including Non-Registered Accounts (Cash, Margin, Joint, etc.) and Registered Accounts (RRSPs, TFSAs, RESPs, etc.).
• Strong MS Excel skills.

Qualifications (Assets)

• Knowledge of and/or experience in the brokerage industry.
• Completion of, or enrolment in, a financial services industry program (e.g., CSC).
• Bilingual (verbal and written) in French and English.

Pay

This contract role offers a flexible, hourly compensation model ranging from $26.00 to $30.00, based on experience and qualifications.
