Neurosurgery Student Nurse Tech (SNT) - PRN

Role Overview

Provides multi-skilled, direct patient care under supervision as part of a nursing team. Assists with patient and family education, documents care activities accurately, and ensures availability of supplies and equipment. Acts as a patient safety sitter when needed, collects clinical data, reports abnormal findings, and prepares patients for tests and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient care under RN supervision
• Support patient and family education
• Document care activities using correct medical terminology
• Ensure equipment and supplies meet patient needs
• Collect and report clinical data, including abnormal findings
• Instruct patients on test and procedure preparations
• Act as a 1:1 patient safety sitter when necessary

Qualifications & Skills

• Currently enrolled in an accredited RN program (ADN or BSN)
• Completed foundational nursing coursework
• Experience not required; previous supervisor experience not needed
• Ability to perform basic patient care tasks and documentation
