Neurosurgery Physician Associate - Locum Tenens

About the role

Seeking a Physician Assistant (PA) for inpatient neurosurgical coverage on night shift at a Level 1 Trauma Center. Provide overnight inpatient care, including managing admissions, discharges, and responding to consultations. Operate alongside a team of 9 neurosurgeons and 9 APPs, supporting 24/7 neurosurgical coverage. Assist in the operating room as desired and handle discharge procedures, primarily during night shifts.

Responsibilities

• Provide overnight inpatient care for neurosurgical patients
• Manage admissions and discharges
• Respond to consultations
• Assist in the operating room as needed
• Handle discharge procedures during night shifts

Requirements

• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Board certification in neurological surgery
• Support for prescriptive authority

Skills

• Clinical competence in neurosurgical care
• Ability to collaborate within a multidisciplinary team
• Adaptability to inpatient neuro cases

Work Environment

On-site at a large, accredited hospital with extensive neurosurgical services.
