Responsibilities
As an APRN or PA with Ascension Seton Neurosurgery, you will evaluate neurosurgical emergency department patients, manage admitted neurosurgical patients in a hospital setting, and assist in neurosurgical cases in the operating room.
Join an established team of 5 physicians and 13 APPs, with a practice setting of inpatient and an employed position within a nonprofit health system.
Lead Comprehensive Care Delivery: Direct the treatment and long-term management of diverse health conditions, ensuring every patient receives a personalized and effective care plan.
Empower Patients and Families: Translate medical jargon into actionable guidance, educating caregivers on treatment options and community resources to improve health literacy.

Serving a population of Austin, Texas, with an integrated referral network and part of Ascension, a national nonprofit Catholic health system.
Requirements
- Licensure / Certification / Registration: BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
- Licensed Physician Assistant credentialed from the Texas Medical Board obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
- Certified Physician Assistant credentialed from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
- Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
- Education: Graduate of accredited Physician Assistant program. Master's degree preferred.
- Work Experience: 1 year of experience preferred.

Schedule
Full-time schedule: Saturday and Sunday 7a-7p and Thursday 7p-7a
Location: Austin, Texas, at the Dell Seton Medical Center UT facility.
