Neuroradiologist - Clinician--Educator - Junior Ranks

About the role

The Department of Radiology at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for several Assistant Professor positions in the non-tenure clinician educator track. Expertise is required in the specific area of neuroradiology.

Responsibilities

  • Daily clinical supervision and teaching of residents and fellows during readouts and conferences
  • Participation in interdisciplinary conferences with clinical subspecialties
  • Limited teaching of medical students rotating through the Department of Radiology at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, Penn Presbyterian Medical Center, Philadelphia Veterans Affairs Medical Center, and Pennsylvania Hospital
  • Providing outstanding clinical service and expert consultation to partners in Emergency Medicine, Otorhinolaryngology: Head and Neck Surgery, Neurology, Neurosurgery, Psychiatry, and Ophthalmology
  • Participation in the Neuroradiology off-hours on-call program, including evening, night, and weekend coverage
  • Developing a focused body of research in a field within Neuroradiology

Requirements

  • M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. or equivalent degree
  • Certification by the American Board of Radiology
  • Neuroradiology CAQ eligibility
  • Completion of a two-year neuroradiology fellowship is strongly recommended

Qualifications

  • Prior research experience, including evidence of training in research methodology
  • Demonstrated evidence of peer-reviewed scholarship
