About the role
We are seeking a SOM Neuroradiologist to provide specialized daytime teleradiology interpretations of neuroimaging studies, including CT, CTA, CT Perfusion, MR, and perfusion imaging, in a high-volume academic setting. The role emphasizes clinical excellence, effective remote communication, and participation in optional teaching and quality improvement activities, with flexible remote work options and a predictable daytime schedule.
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality, subspecialized neuroradiology interpretations remotely during daytime shifts
- Support inpatient, outpatient, and emergency imaging needs with accurate and timely reports
- Communicate critical findings promptly to referring providers
- Participate in virtual multidisciplinary consultations and discussions as needed
- Utilize advanced PACS and voice recognition systems for efficient workflow
Qualifications
- ABR certification or successful completion of the ABR Core Examination
- Fellowship training in Neuroradiology
- Strong communication skills for virtual collaboration
- Current medical license in Virginia or eligibility for licensure and out-of-state licenses
- Eligibility for employment in the U.S.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in high-volume tertiary care neuroradiology
- Expertise in acute neuroimaging, stroke, trauma, and outpatient cases
- Interest in clinical consultation within a teleradiology model
