About the role
The West Virginia University Rockefeller Neuroscience Institute and the Department of Behavioral Medicine and Psychiatry in the WVU School of Medicine seek a Neuropsychologist qualified for appointment at the Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor rank. The successful candidate will be expected to practice in Morgantown, WV.
Responsibilities
- Practice in multidisciplinary teams to provide neuropsychological services for adult patients with a broad range of neurologic conditions such as memory disorders, epilepsy, multiple sclerosis, and others.
- Join the staff of the Neuropsychology Service at WVU Medicine, which currently consists of 15 neuropsychologists, three postdoctoral residents, interns, practicum students, and nine psychometrists.
- Play a role in the supervision of interns and postdoctoral neuropsychology fellows in our APPCN-member program.
- Teach medical students and residents within the department and broader Health Sciences Center on topics relevant to psychology/neuropsychology.
- Collaborate in developing research activities based on applicant interest.
Requirements
- Completed a doctoral degree from an APA- or CPA-accredited psychology program.
- Internship with experience in neuropsychology.
- Postdoctoral fellowship with specialization in neuropsychology.
- Eligible for state licensure.
- Board eligible/board certified by the American Board of Professional Psychology in Clinical Neuropsychology.
- For appointment at the Professor rank, Board Certification (ABPP) in neuropsychology is required.
