Provides complete and appropriate neuropsychological evaluations for a wide variety of neurosurgical, neurological, psychiatric, neurorehabilitation, and general medical/surgical patients. Collaborates with treating physicians, psychiatrists, and allied health professionals to plan and direct each patient’s treatment program.

Responsibilities

  • Performs neuropsychological and psychodiagnostic evaluations of patients with actual or suspected neurological diseases, psychiatric disorders, and pediatric/adult general medical patients with psychological or neuropsychological symptoms.
  • Provides clinical supervision to doctoral psychology interns, postdoctoral psychology fellows, and other mental health trainees or medical residents as necessary.
  • Consults on cognitive and behavioral rehabilitation for patients with neurological disorders (e.g., aneurysm, stroke, traumatic brain injury).
  • Acts as a liaison between psychiatry and other medical departments to develop triage and treatment programs for patients with complex medical and psychological needs.
  • Participates in clinical activities with neurologists, neurosurgeons, psychiatrists, and physiatrists.
  • Consults with team members and other professionals as needed.
  • Provides direct intervention with patients, including family consultation and care/treatment planning where indicated.
  • Participates in team meetings and ensures timely, accurate clinical documentation.

Requirements

  • Minimum two (2) years (2,000 hours) of supervised neuropsychology residency/fellowship under a neuropsychologist.
  • Doctorate degree (PhD/PsyD) in Psychology from an APA-accredited (or equivalent) doctoral program, with didactic and experiential training in neuropsychology and psychopathology.
  • Predoctoral internship with specialized training in neuropsychology.
  • Documented experience with neurosurgical, neurological, psychiatric, and general medical/surgical patients.
  • Knowledge of state regulations, APA standards, patient rights, confidentiality, and ethical issues.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a Labor/Management Partnership environment.

Qualifications

  • Psychologist License (Oregon) required within 6 months of hire.
  • Psychologist License (Washington) required within 6 months of hire.
  • National Provider Identifier required at hire.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Two (2) or more years of direct patient care experience in a clinical setting (e.g., outpatient clinic, hospital).

Schedule

  • Part-time, 36 hours per week.
  • 4 days per week, 9-hour shifts (e.g., 08:00 AM – 05:30 PM).
  • Workdays: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday.

Pay

$54.93 – $90.01 per hour.

Travel

15% travel required.
