About the role

The Software Development Engineer for the Neuron Runtime Team will work alongside a team of engineers to develop and maintain high-performance runtime libraries and drivers for machine learning applications and AI accelerators. The role involves managing the full development life cycle of the Neuron Runtime, focusing on scalability, reliability, and usability. Additionally, the candidate will drive innovations to support multiple frameworks like PyTorch, JAX, and XLA.

Responsibilities

• Architect, build, and operate distributed systems with a focus on high availability and fault tolerance
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that the C++ compiler generates key information for customers to understand and optimize the performance of our custom hardware
• Work with executive leadership and other senior management to define product directions and deliver them to customers
• Build massive-scale distributed training and inference solutions
• Mentor and support new members of the team

Requirements

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
• 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience

Skills

• Experience with AWS services (EC2, ECS, CloudWatch, S3, Lambda)
• Experience with distributed systems and high availability
• Experience with software development life cycle including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
• Experience with multiple software programming languages
