About the role
The Neuromuscular Neurologist position is available at Bronson Neuroscience Center in Southwest Michigan. It is a full-time, leadership opportunity for a BC/BE Neuromuscular Neurologist.
Responsibilities
- Treating patients with neuromuscular disorders and sub-specialty care, such as neuropathy, ALS, etc.
- Focusing on comprehensive APP support and dedicated EMG days with support from experienced technicians.
- Leading the ALS Program and participating in clinical trials.
- Teaching and academic affiliation through Western Michigan University’s Homer Stryker School of Medicine.
- Assisting with patient care, including interviewing, examining, and treating patients, determining referrals, and prescribing medical treatment.
- Ordering studies, tests, and ancillary services, and documenting all services in the patient's medical record.
- Maintaining confidentiality of all patient information according to federal guidelines and regulations.
- Providing patient education on wellness, prevention, and early detection.
- Overseeing mid-level medical staff and nursing clinical staff.
- Resolving complaints, requests, and inquiries from patients.
Requirements
- Board-certified or board-eligible neurologist with fellowship in Neuromuscular or Clinical Neurophysiology with EMG/neuromuscular emphasis.
- Michigan Medical, DEA, and CDS licenses.
- Willingness to support and lead the ALS Program.
- Knowledge of and ability to apply professional medical principles, procedures, and techniques.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to perform in a tactful and professional manner.

Schedule
Full-time position with weekday call averages 4 nights per month (no weekend call).
