Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients with complex visual symptoms, optic nerve disorders, and ocular motility issues.
- Interpret diagnostic tests including visual fields, OCT, electroretinography, MRIs, and CT scans.
- Develop treatment plans involving medical management, prisms, or coordination for surgical interventions.
- Participate in teaching residents, fellows, and medical students (if in an academic setting).
- Maintain documentation in compliance with hospital and electronic health records (EHR) standards.
Required Qualifications
- Medical Degree: MD or DO from an accredited institution.
- Residency: Completed residency in Ophthalmology or Neurology.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible In Ophthalmology or Neurology.
- Fellowship: Completed a 1- or 2-year North American Neuro-Ophthalmology Society (NANOS) approved fellowship.
- Board Eligibility/Certification: Board-certified or board-eligible in Neurology or Ophthalmology.
- Licensure: Eligible for an unrestricted medical license in the state of Georgia.
- APP supervision required.
