About the role
The neuromuscular section currently has 7 faculty with varied interests that provide neuromuscular expertise to our ambulatory and inpatient services. This position includes neuromuscular clinic, regular time in our AANEM-accredited EMG Laboratory and rotations on our inpatient neurology teaching service. There is additional opportunity for participation in neuromuscular clinics and the EMG lab at our growing program at Riverside University Medical Center, intraoperative monitoring and peripheral ultrasonography. This position is perfect for a clinician educator and offers weekly teaching sessions and a regional monthly neuromuscular conference.
Responsibilities
- Provide neuromuscular clinic services
- Regular time in the AANEM-accredited EMG Laboratory
- Rotations on the inpatient neurology teaching service
- Opportunity to participate in neuromuscular clinics and the EMG lab at Riverside University Medical Center
- Participation in intraoperative monitoring and peripheral ultrasonography
- Weekly teaching sessions and regional monthly neuromuscular conference
Requirements
This position requires a board certified or board eligible neurologist. Additional requirements include:
- Experience in neuromuscular disorders
- Ability to teach and mentor residents, students, and fellows
- Strong interest in clinical research
Qualifications
Qualifications include:
- MD or DO degree
- Current license to practice medicine in California
- Completion of an accredited ACGME/ACGME-approved neurology residency program
- Completion of a subspecialty fellowship in neuromuscular disorders (preferred)

Pay
The compensation range listed is for starting base compensation only and is adjusted based upon years of experience and/or faculty rank: $240,000- $290,000. This amount does not include variable compensation or extra productivity and is subject to the individual department compensation plans. More information on compensation is discussed with the departments during the recruitment process.

The schedule for this position is flexible and will be determined during the hiring process based on the candidate's qualifications and the needs of the department.
