Neurologist - Locum Tenens Coverage

About the role

We are seeking a Board-Certified Neurologist to provide inpatient care on a day shift with 24-hour call responsibilities in a short-term acute care setting. You will deliver neurological services, including managing neurological cases and responding to stroke alerts. The role involves on-site inpatient rounding during day shifts and fulfilling 24-hour call duties, collaborating with a team of one neurohospitalist and one Advanced Practice Nurse (APN).

Prescriptive authority is required to support the adult patient population in a facility equipped for neurological consultation and stroke response, ensuring high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities

• Perform inpatient rounding during day shifts.
• Provide 24-hour call coverage for neurological emergencies.
• Manage adult neurological patients in a hospital environment.
• Respond to stroke alerts and provide timely intervention.
• Collaborate with a neurohospitalist and APN to deliver comprehensive care.

Requirements

• Board certification in neurology.
• Experience with inpatient neurological cases and stroke management.
• Ability to work independently in a hospital setting with support staff.
• Strong clinical judgment and team collaboration skills.
• Prescriptive authority required.
