About the role
The Mass General Brigham Medical Group is a system-led operating entity formed by Mass General Brigham to deliver high quality, low cost, innovative community-based ambulatory care. This position is within Wentworth Health Partners Coastal Neurology Services, a provider specializing in neurological disorders.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and educate patients prior to testing
- Conduct autonomic tests (up to two hours)
- Monitor blood pressure and heart rate
- Place electrodes
- Stock and maintain testing rooms
- Manage supplies and inventory
- Measure the heart rate and blood pressure of the patient
- Perform a sympathetic skin response test
- Organize data into a report
- Perform standard electroencephalographic (EEG) examinations
- Collect patients' medical information needed to customize tests
- Evaluate test results and understand patient needs
- Communicate with patients and their families
- Enter data quickly and accurately
- Measure blood pressure
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent required
- Registered Electroencephalographic Technologist [R. EEG T.] - ABRET Neurodiagnostic Credentialing & Accreditation preferred
- Experience as a neurodiagnostic technologist 0-1 year preferred
- Possess analytical skills to evaluate test results and understand patient needs
- Excellent listening and communication skills both verbal and written
- Ability to establish and maintain effective interpersonal professional relationships with physicians, management, peers, patients, and their families
- Demonstrate strong customer service skills, including the ability to use appropriate judgment, independent thinking and creativity when resolving issues and conflict
- Must have the ability to handle sensitive and confidential patient information
