Neurodiagnostic Technologist

About the role

Sentara is hiring a Registered Neurodiagnostic Technologist for a full‑time, day‑shift position in Norfolk, VA. The Neurodiagnostic Technologist performs a wide variety of neurophysiological diagnostic studies in the laboratory, intra‑operatively and in the intensive care settings; operates and performs preventative maintenance on complex monitoring instruments; documents all acquired data for interpretation; ensures tests performed are properly ordered, charged and reported; makes independent assessments that may indicate urgent medical interaction. Competency in three areas or primary specialty work in the area of epilepsy or evoked potential intra‑operative monitoring is required.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or Equivalent required; one year of experience required.
• Associate’s Degree in Electro‑neurodiagnostic Technology preferred.
• Certifications: Registered Electroencephalographic Technician (EEG) OR Registered Evoked Potential Technologist (REPT) OR Certification in Neurophysiologic Intraoperative Monitoring (CNIM) required; BLS required.
• Experience: Invasive and non‑invasive experience preferred.

Pay

The base pay range for full‑time employment is $29.99 – $45.82 hourly. Additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on‑call pay, overtime, shift premiums, extra‑shift incentives, or bonus opportunities. Compensation within the range may vary based on qualifications, experience, location, market conditions, and business needs.
