About the role

The Department of Anesthesiology at The University of Wisconsin is recruiting a Neuroanesthesiologist primarily to provide clinical anesthesia care with teaching opportunities to residents and medical students. If appointed on the CHS track, duties will also include education and research components.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise the clinical training of students.
  • Provide clinical anesthetic care to surgical patients (working in the operating room, plus evening and weekend call).
  • Teach medical students, residents, and fellows in the operating room and didactic sessions.
  • Participate in clinical research for interested candidates.

Requirements

  • WI Medical license by start date of position.
  • Board eligible or certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology by start date of position.
  • Completion of anesthesiology residency program, and certified or eligible for certification by the American Board of Anesthesiology.
  • Subspecialty fellowship training in neuroanesthesiology techniques and procedures preferred.

Qualifications

  • MD, DO, or equivalent is required.

  • Experience in Neuroanesthesiology (if applicable).
  • Research interests (if any).
