Neuro Med Surg Nurse

About the role

Responsible for delivering high-quality, patient-centered neuro-med surg care, collaborating with medical teams, and advocating for patients, families, and caregivers. This unit specializes in neuro and spinal surgeries, as well as total joint and fracture care, fostering growth and skill development among nurses. The role emphasizes patient advocacy, clinical excellence, and teamwork in a supportive setting.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient condition upon admission and throughout shifts, reporting changes promptly.
• Perform procedures, monitor patients, administer medications, and document care accurately.
• Respond swiftly to patient requests, anticipate needs, and resolve issues.
• Educate patients and families on medical conditions, treatments, medications, and follow-up care.

Requirements

• Current RN license.
• Associate or bachelor’s degree or RN diploma.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification within 30 days of employment.
• Ability to provide compassionate, personalized care in a fast-paced environment.
