Responsibilities

  • Develop, execute, and automate highly complex feature test plans in BRAS areas, with deep understanding of the protocols listed in the requirements.
  • Review Market Requirements Documents (MRDs), Product Description Documents (PDDs), and Functional Specifications for both assigned and peer-owned complex RLIs.
  • Collaborate with the Technical Publications team to review and refine feature documentation.
  • Support Beta teams during feature adoption cycles and assist with troubleshooting Beta issues.
  • Partner with Product Management to identify deployment scenarios for new releases across various customer environments and share learnings with other system test engineers.
  • Handle critical and complex customer queries and escalations.
  • Contribute to internal knowledge-sharing sessions.
  • Author white papers on technology domains, system test methodologies, and improvement strategies.
  • Mentor other SysTest team members across different technology areas.
  • Deliver technical presentations to the broader SysTest organization on new and complex features.
  • Provide inputs toward continuous improvement of system test processes.
  • Assist in reducing customer-found defects (CFDs) through proactive validation and process enhancements.
  • Drive innovation through practical experience with GenAI technologies.
  • Drive innovation through patent submissions.

Requirements

  • BE/ME/MCA in Computer Science, Electronics & Communication, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in complex product testing with a strong background in BRAS and L2/L3 protocol testing.
  • Exceptional understanding of the OSI Model, TCP/IP protocol suite (ARP, IP, ICMP, IGMP, TCP, UDP, SNMP, FTP), and core networking fundamentals.
  • Deep hands-on expertise in configuration and qualification of PPP, PPPoE, DHCP, HTTP, RADIUS, AAA, L2TP, PWHT, FWA, IGMP, GRE, and 802.3ad.
  • Demonstrated application knowledge of the following: IS-IS, OSPF, BGP, QoS, Multicast, MPLS, and VRF routing.
  • Very strong automation skills with experience in scripting languages such as Python and Robot Framework, including GenAI-based implementations.
  • Strong proficiency with test tools such as Ixia and Spirent.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to debug and isolate complex issues.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proactive, approachable, and capable of managing multiple tasks effectively.
  • Prior experience writing white papers or participating in technology forums is highly desirable.
  • Prior experience filing IDFs/patents is an advantage.
  • Demonstrated ownership and leadership in complex features and technology domains.
  • Strong team player with a collaborative mindset.

Pay

Annual salary range for this position in the United States is USD 136,500 - 260,500. The listed salary range reflects base salary; variable incentives may also be offered. Actual offer may vary based on geographic location, work experience, education/training, and skill level.
