Networking & Controls Lead Project Manager

About the role
The Networking & Controls Lead Project Manager plays a vital role in data center physical infrastructure and construction, including the coordination of technical change management, working with cross-functional teams to monitor and control specific projects, acting as a central point of contact to connect support teams with local teams, and unblocking the installation and commissioning process. This role ensures controls and networking systems projects and changes are seamlessly integrated during the construction phase while maintaining project speed and schedule. The ideal candidate acts as a technical pivot point, managing program-level execution of infrastructure products and ensuring cross-functional alignment between engineering teams, general contractors, and site integrators.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate technical workstreams between Design Engineering, Construction, and Data Center Operations (DCOps) to ensure in-flight technical changes are inserted without impacting the overall schedule.
- Manage Building Management Systems (BMS), Power Monitoring Systems (PMS), and networking-related projects.
- Oversee the testing, commissioning, and integration of industrial controls and networking field devices and network switches.
- Review and assist in technical answer Requests for Information (RFIs), review Engineering Bulletins (EB), access and read drawings, and monitor overall progress.
- Make technical judgments and direct queries to the appropriate team for quick resolution when issues arise.
- Facilitate regular stakeholder meetings to communicate program updates, track technical action items, and address systemic risks related to assigned projects.
- Frequent travel to various project sites with full-time residency at construction locations in the Omaha area; up to 50% travel expected.
Requirements
- 3+ years of professional experience in Data Center infrastructure, critical environment equipment, or the Engineering/Construction industry.
- Proven experience in Technical Program Management (TPM) or Technical Project Coordination, including strong interpersonal skills.
- Basic understanding of industrial controls, including Networking Switches, Networking Diagrams, PLC, SCADA, HMI, BMS, and PMS architectures.
- Strong understanding of industrial networking, including TCP/IP, Ethernet/IP, and Modbus RTU/TCP.
- Experience with Google Workspace tools and other industrial construction management software.
- Prior experience supporting hyperscale cloud infrastructure preferred.
- Familiarity with controls/network engineering concepts and data center infrastructure preferred.
- Knowledge of Operational Technology (OT) and OT industrial networking preferred.
- Legal ability to work in the U.S. during the employment period; RedCloud does not provide visa sponsorship.
Pay
US: $150,000 - $165,000 (USD) + bonus programs + benefits.
