Responsibilities
- Cook up with customers and DISA teams to activate new network services in line with DISA standards.
- Perform Initial Test and Acceptance (IT&A) activities and produce necessary reports and documentation.
- Implement network device configurations utilizing predefined configuration templates (configlets).
- Manage service orders and make sure changes adhere to established change management procedures.
- Validate customer needs using DISN tools and databases.
- Coordinate circuit activations with commercial vendors to provide end-to-end connectivity solutions.
- Monitor network modifications to guarantee no adverse impact on customer traffic.
- Resolve network issues in conjunction with engineers, architects, and project managers.
- Engage stakeholders to clarify requirements, obtain approvals, and keep service requests moving forward.
Qualifications
- An active DoD Secret security clearance is required.
- A bachelor’s degree is required.
- A minimum of 4 years of experience in network engineering or telecommunications support is required.
- A DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (Security+ CE or equivalent) is required.
- Experience configuring, testing, and activating network systems and devices is required.
- A working knowledge of networking technologies including BGP, OSPF, VLANs, VPNs, DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, WAN, and VRFs is required.
- Familiarity with routers, switches, firewalls, and other network appliances is required.
- An understanding of data and voice network design using military and commercial protocols is required.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work both independently and on a team are required.
Pay
Pay range: $68,000 - $90,000 (Based on years of relevant experience)
