About the Opportunity:The NETWORK/SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR role is responsible for managing and supporting complex network environments across multiple locations, contributing to mission-critical IT services for government clients. This position plays a key role in planning, deploying, maintaining, and securing network infrastructure to ensure reliable and efficient operations. The role's impact lies in sustaining and advancing network capabilities that support enterprise data centers and cloud environments. Responsibilities:Lead planning and implementation of new network deployments.Develop and maintain technical instructions, procedures, and policies.Monitor and optimize system and network performance.Harden network security and report on security and operational status.Recommend and manage software and hardware integrations.Produce utilization reports to identify and resolve issues.Support lifecycle management of mixed vendor datacenter equipment.Design, document, and maintain complex network solutions.Configure and manage Palo Alto firewalls and Cisco networking devices. Requirements:CompTIA Security+ certification.Computing Environment Certification (e.g., MCSE, Server+, CCNA, RedHat, Palo) or waiver for 30 days post project start.DoD Secret Security Clearance.Background in Computer Science or IT.10-15 years of relevant experience.Minimum three years designing and maintaining complex networking solutions.Minimum three years managing Palo Alto Firewalls.Minimum three years using network management and troubleshooting tools.Minimum five years with Cisco Nexus, Catalyst switches, ASR/ISR routers, Firepower.Three years’ experience or knowledge in Software Defined Networking.Experience creating and following Standard Operating Procedures.Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills. Preferred:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.Three years’ experience in automation and scripting (Python, Perl, TCL, Ansible).Three years’ experience supporting cybersecurity patch management and compliance assessments.
