Network System Engineer
About the role
Join a dynamic team as a Network System Engineer responsible for designing, developing, and implementing complex system engineering activities. This role requires expertise in various operating systems and hardware solutions, with a focus on delivering technical support and solutions. Lead and participate in system engineering activities involving cross-functional technical support. Design, develop, and implement software and hardware solutions. Provide technical and break/fix level support for operating systems. Perform OS administration tasks on virtualized and bare metal servers. Troubleshoot software and hardware issues efficiently. Handle multiple tasks and adapt to changing environments. Work a flexible schedule, including on-call and weekend work. The position is based in Jersey City, NJ or Charlotte, NC and is a contract opportunity.

- Recommend and design software and hardware solutions.

Requirements
- 10 years of systems engineering experience.
- Senior-level experience with Linux.
- Proficient in OS administration on virtualized and bare metal servers.
- Expertise in clustering solutions and SAN configurations.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
