About the role
The Network Support Technician provides quality on-site support to Huntsville Hospital users with a high degree of customer service, technical expertise, and timeliness. The position involves supporting the installation, upgrades, and maintenance of all hardware and software in the LAN and WAN environment. Responsibilities include performing preventative maintenance on all networked equipment, troubleshooting and performing repairs when possible, and coordinating vendor service as needed. The Network Support Technician acts as the advocate for the user.
Responsibilities
- Experience configuring and installing PCs, network printers, peripherals, and software across all campuses.
- Ability to troubleshoot hardware and software issues in person, over the phone, or remotely.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and meeting platforms such as Zoom, Teams, or GoToMeeting.
- Ability to lift, move, and install PC’s, peripherals, and printers while performing detailed cable management.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems as well as Local Area Network topologies.
Qualifications
Requires an AS degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science or related field. Extensive experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
