About the role
NVIDIA is seeking a Networking Software Architect to develop the next generation of networking protocols for AI. The ideal candidate will have expertise in RDMA and experience with AI communication patterns and parallelization techniques.
Responsibilities
- Research and propose novel transport mechanisms based on RDMA technology for AI systems using simulations, experiments and proof-of-concept prototypes.
- Arcitect the frameworks for NVIDIA’s programmable networking devices for novel protocols.
- Provide system-level architecture to guide NVIDIA’s customers to deploy and operate the new protocols.
- Collaborate across NVIDIA to co-design the stack to exploit new transport mechanisms.
Requirements
- M.S./Ph.D. degree in CS/CE or equivalent experience.
- 12+ years of relevant experience.
- Excellent C/C++ programming and debugging skills.
- Research experience driving transport protocol innovations.
- Deep understanding of RDMA.
- Proven fundamentals of compute, network architecture and operating systems.
- Strong experience with Linux.
- Ability and flexibility to work and communicate effectively in a multi-national, multi-time-zone corporate environment.

Pay
- Base salary range: $224,000 - $356,500 for Level 5, and $272,000 - $431,250 for Level 6.
