Contract position in Richardson, TX.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience with Palo Alto Firewalls
- Strong technical and subject matter expertise in:
- Firewall: Palo Alto
- VPN: IPSEC, SSL
- IPS: Palo Alto Panorama Dashboard, PRISMA
- Customer service experience, preferably in a Global Operations center environment
- Knowledge of ServiceNow or similar ticketing systems
- Flexibility to manage stressful situations and adapt to rapidly changing environments and requirements
- Ability to prioritize and resolve urgent customer-impacting issues in collaboration with Operations and Engineering
- Exceptional documentation and communication skills
- Experience leading Firewall teams (preferred)
- Experience working with large enterprises managing 100+ Palo Alto Firewalls
- Capability to collaborate with multiple CIS teams to resolve outstanding issues and improve service delivery
Responsibilities
- Plan and execute operations such as:
- Major/Minor upgrades
- Faulty firewall replacement
- Migration from one firewall to another
- New firewall build tasks
- Resolve P1/P2/P3 incidents
- Troubleshoot L1/L2/L3 tickets and support advanced Network Security Services
- Manage ticket queues and assignments
- Work on service requests and changes as per client requirements
- Perform Normal/Standard changes following client-defined processes and work instructions
- Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on Palo Alto Firewall
- Create Standard Operating Procedure documents
- Attend client calls and technical meetings
- Create Problem tickets and conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA)
- Identify areas for Service Improvement Program (SIP) to proactively reduce incidents
- Review and maintain documentation
- Collaborate with hardware/software vendors and TAC to resolve problems
- Coordinate shifts and handoffs between various shifts
- Cross-train and mentor junior team members
- Participate in network and security-related projects
- Perform additional duties such as monthly compliance, SLA/KPI tracking, and other tasks as assigned
