About the role

Takeda Pharmaceuticals USA, Inc. is seeking a Network Platform Architect to lead the formulation of Patient Engagement Platform (PEP) related IT Strategy, focusing on digital innovation goals to enhance patient engagement capabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the formulation of PEP related IT Strategy, with a strong focus on Takeda strategic digital innovation goals by maturing Takeda patient engagement capabilities.
  • Drive PEP adoption, while maintaining design authority to align use cases and regional concerns to an optimized, reusable platform.
  • Lead and influence the development and maintenance of reference architecture, design, engineering, blueprints, standards, and product management.
  • Direct effort to plan all activities associated with implementation and maintenance of network and security platforms.
  • Direct the effort of staff engineers/developers on requirements, analysis, design, development, and implementation of platforms and their components.
  • Direct the development and configuration with project teams to deliver platforms from conceptualization through stabilization, covering configuration, testing, debugging, and documentation, while ensuring proper integration and on-time, on-budget delivery.
  • Implementing and supporting network equipment, including routers, switches, SD-WAN devices, and firewalls, with expertise in Cisco, Fortinet and Palo Alto networks technologies.
  • Provide hands-on management of the networks and troubleshooting any issues that arise.
  • Analyze network traffic and performance to determine and implement lifecycle related improvements.
  • Lead IT engineering and operations teams to solve problems in the overall PEP environment, specific to business use cases.
  • Report on the state and direction of Takeda PEP environments to technology and business leaders.
  • Bring all global instances of patient experience platform under a common management and operations framework while supporting the needs and differences of agile product teams.
  • Up to 10% domestic and international travel required for physical implementation of network and security devices at remote locations.
  • Up to 75% remote work allowed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, plus 5 years of related work experience.
  • Prior experience must include: prepare and review high-level designs (HLDs), low-level designs (LLDs) for network architectures; plan, design and implement network and security architecture in on-premises environments; lead network infrastructure upgrades and migrations projects; analyze and diagnose network issues, services outages; hands-on experience in the designing, implementation and troubleshooting of; Fortinet SD-WAN, FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer, Palo Alto firewalls, Palo Alto Panorama, Cisco Routers and Switches, routing protocols BGP, OSPF and Application-aware Routing, VPNs, F5 Big-IP.

Qualifications

  • Experience in leading network infrastructure upgrades and migrations projects.
  • Hands-on experience in the designing, implementation and troubleshooting of network and security platforms.
  • Expertise in Cisco, Fortinet and Palo Alto networks technologies.
  • Ability to analyze network traffic and performance to determine and implement lifecycle related improvements.
  • Experience in leading IT engineering and operations teams to solve problems in the overall PEP environment.

Skills

  • Strong understanding of network and security architecture.
  • Experience in planning, designing, and implementing network and security platforms.
  • Expertise in network equipment, including routers, switches, SD-WAN devices, and firewalls.
  • Ability to troubleshoot network issues and services outages.
  • Knowledge of Fortinet SD-WAN, FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer, Palo Alto firewalls, Palo Alto Panorama, Cisco Routers and Switches, routing protocols BGP, OSPF and Application-aware Routing, VPNs, F5 Big-IP.

Pay

$175,053 - $215,270 per year.
