Responsibilities
- Network & Infrastructure Install, configure, and maintain network switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless access points.
- Perform network troubleshooting, diagnostics, and performance optimization across multiple buildings and production environments.
- Manage VLANs, port configurations, link aggregation, and other Layer 2/Layer 3 functions.
- Affiliate with network documentation, topology mapping, and asset tracking.
- Structured Cabling
- Run, terminate, and test Cat5e/Cat6/Cat6a network cabling throughout office and manufacturing spaces.
- Install and maintain patch panels, racks, cable management, and related infrastructure.
- Perform cable certification, labeling, and documentation to maintain clean, organized network environments.
- Security & Access Control Systems
- Install, configure, and maintain CCTV systems, including IP cameras, NVRs, and monitoring stations.
- Support and troubleshoot access control systems, including badge readers, door controllers, and related hardware.
- Affiliate with system upgrades, expansions, and integrations across multiple facilities.
- Fire Alarm & Facility Technology Support
- Provide support for fire alarm panels, sensors, and notification systems in coordination with licensed vendors.
- Affiliate with installation and maintenance of facility technology systems, such as intercoms, paging systems, and environmental monitoring devices.
- General IT Support
- Collaborate with IT team members to support end-user connectivity, device setup, and network-related issues.
- Participate in on-call rotation for critical infrastructure support.
- 2–5 years of experience in network infrastructure, cabling, or low-voltage systems.
- Strong understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, VLANs, switching).
- Hands-on experience with structured cabling, including terminations and cable testing.
- Experience with CCTV systems (IP cameras, NVRs) and access control hardware.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and network layouts.
- Comfortable working in industrial and construction environments.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
- With Ubiquiti, Cisco, or similar network platforms.
- Familiarity with Lenel, HID, Avigilon, Verkada, or comparable security systems.
- Knowledge of fire alarm systems and NFPA standards (support role only; no licensing required).
- CompTIA Network+, Security+, or equivalent certifications.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Comfortable working on ladders, lifts, and in tight spaces.
- Ability to work in manufacturing environments with noise, dust, and temperature variation.
