Network Infrastructure Specialist III

About the AgencyThe Department of Revenue is the primary agency for collecting tax revenues that support state and local governments in Mississippi. About the PositionThis position is responsible for troubleshooting and maintaining network and communication systems of moderate complexity in assigned organizational areas. A focus on the hardware and software aspects of the security infrastructure estate of the agency is incorporated into this position. Additionally, this position monitors use, capacity, and performance of network systems and makes recommendations for changes. Please note that this position is NOT REMOTE. What you'll need to be SuccessfulTo be successful in this position you will need excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and exceptional customer service skills. Critical skill sets for this position include: • Firewall Administration • Microsoft 365 Security Administration • Active Directory Administration • SIEM & Observability Tools • Public key infrastructure QualificationsRequires a bachelor’s degree and 5-8+ years of IT experience with an emphasis in network infrastructure, operations, and administration.
