Key job responsibilities
- Support Quality Assurance related programs to drive world-class quality in network infrastructure design of new Data Centers to achieve the best operating, lowest cost infrastructure in the world.
- Partner with the Information Communication Technology Design team to ensure network pathway infrastructure designs align with Data Center Construction build plans.
- Sustain and update Quality Assurance documents including inspection checklists and installation requirements from design specifications, Global Design Standards documents, Global Installation Best Practice Guidelines, Product Specifications for Inside Plant Cabling, Basis of Design and Quality Issue trackers.
- Partner with the Information Communication Technology Design team and New Product Development team to implement review mechanisms for new designs and design updates to identify installation gaps and create standard operating procedures to manage remediation plans.
- Maintain oversight of deployments and collect lessons learned on network pathway quality.
- Conduct Network Pathway Infrastructure Quality Training Programs to support stakeholders and as reference guidelines for vendors.
- Support quality and operational metrics to effectively measure performance and success.
- Regional and Local Travel up to 25% to perform site visits and meetings for onsite quality standards review and collect feedback from onsite personnel.
Basic Qualifications
- Experience in root cause analysis and error correction, identifying changes to procedures and systems to implement long-term fixes and avoid repeating issues.
- Experience with CAD software (AutoCAD, REVIT, BIM 360, etc.).
- Associate’s degree in Telecommunications, Mechanical, or Structural Engineering, or related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
- 2+ years of experience in network pathway infrastructure design or installation in data center environments.
- Familiarity with NEMA VE1/VE2 or IEC 61537 for cable tray construction and installation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of critical data center equipment.
- Experience that includes strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities.
- Experience conducting quality inspections in live data center environments with engagement of contractors, engineers, and stakeholders.
- Experience managing quality across the full project lifecycle, from design review through installation validation and defect remediation.
- Knowledge of BICSI RCDD Certification or internationally recognized equivalent (e.g. CDCDP, DCDC, etc.).
