Network Implementation Engineer
Join our team as a Network Implementation Engineer and take responsibility for completing site surveys and creating structured designs for customer networks that support voice, data, security, and audio-visual systems.
About the role
Design engineered drawings, specifications, reports, and other technical documents. Collaborate with IT and facilities teams, project teams, clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers to analyze business and technical requirements. Develop system designs, estimates, implementation plans, and management reports while coordinating structured cabling design with other disciplines. Implement final network solutions for on-premises and cloud environments, manage network device production, and develop all supporting documentation for global network implementation.
Responsibilities
- Provide implementation and engineering support for DoD enterprise networks, including Greenfield deployments, migrations, and net-new enterprise environments.
- Deploy or migrate greenfield enterprise network architectures across on-premise or hybrid cloud environments.
- Work with routing and switching protocols such as BGP, OSPF, IS-IS, MPLS, LDP, RSVP, VPLS, STP, or L3VPNs.
- Develop and execute test, migration, and implementation plans aligned with structured deployment timelines.
- Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical personnel, multitask, and prioritize in a fast-paced mission environment.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in network implementation and engineering support for DoD enterprise networks.
- Experience with routing and switching protocols (BGP, OSPF, IS-IS, MPLS, LDP, RSVP, VPLS, STP, L3VPNs).
- Ability to travel CONUS and OCONUS up to 25% of the time.
- TS/SCI clearance required.
- HS diploma or GED.
- DoD 8570.01 IAT Level II Certification.
Nice to have
- Experience with networking technologies, core Internet protocols, wireless, and distributed networks.
- Experience with multiple vendors' networking solutions (Cisco, HP, Aruba, Palo Alto, Arista, Juniper).
- Experience with cloud technologies and services (AWS, Azure), including designing, configuring, provisioning, and deploying network-layer solutions.
- Knowledge of structured cabling and installation standards.
- Bachelor’s degree.

Pay
Salary is determined by location, education, knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, and contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $61,900.00 to $141,000.00 (annualized USD).
Schedule
This role may be remote, hybrid, or onsite. If remote, occasional in-person work at a Booz Allen or customer facility may be required. If hybrid, frequent work from a Booz Allen facility is expected, with possible visits to customer facilities. If onsite, work will primarily be performed at a Booz Allen office or customer facility.
