Network Evaluation Specialist (2026-2027 School Year)

About the role

The Network Evaluation Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring all students with disabilities in the DSST network receive high quality and legally defensible evaluations for special education eligibility. They support schools with completing special education initial evaluations and reevaluations, including academic assessments and evaluation reports.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate students with disabilities from all eligibility categories
  • Work closely with the school-based team to seek consent from families for evaluations
  • Complete necessary assessments and summarize results in holistic, comprehensive evaluation reports
  • Support student cases across the DSST network at both the Middle School and High School levels
  • Collaborate with families, school leaders, and special service providers
  • Communicate regularly with the Home Office Special Education Team
  • Communicate with General Education Teachers, other Special Education Teachers, and school leaders about information needed and timelines for special education evaluations

Requirements

  • 5+ Years serving as a Special Education Teacher
  • Has both a teaching license and a special education endorsement
  • 2+ Years experience in a teacher leader role (e.g., SpEd Coordinator, House/Department Lead)
  • Extensive experience administering a variety of standardized assessments
  • Proven commitment to and experience with serving students of color, students with disabilities, and/or multilingual students

  • Desire to personally professionally grow in their practice of becoming an anti-racist educator
  • Self-awareness, a regular practice of reflection, and a desire to continuously improve
  • Bachelor's Degree with a valid special education or special service provider endorsement

Pay

$70,000 - $85,300 based on aligned years of experience up to 10 years. We also offer a relocation stipend for anyone joining us from 75 miles or more from Denver!
