Network Engineer Tier 3
Full-time position supporting an Intelligence Community customer's diverse network infrastructure, including CAN, LAN, CORE, and WAN networks. TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance required. Up to 10% local travel.
About the role
CACI is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to design, implement, troubleshoot, and maintain complex IT networks. The role involves daily operations, monitoring, and problem resolution for all network architecture and devices, while providing high-level technical expertise and leadership to junior network engineers.
Key focus areas include developing and implementing network support processes for CAN/LAN/WAN, ensuring compliance with relevant standards, evaluating network performance, and making technology recommendations to senior management. Experience with large-scale enterprise networks in a fast-paced environment is essential.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot complex network issues and provide timely resolutions.
- Provide problem identification, diagnosis, troubleshooting, and resolution of incidents and problems.
- Support escalation and communication of status to company management and the customer.
- Support the dispatch system and hardware problems, remaining involved in the resolution process.
- Isolate and resolve hardware and software problems involving applications, operating systems, hardware, communications infrastructure, or any combination thereof.
- Troubleshoot, maintain integrity, and configure network components along with implementing operating system enhancements to improve reliability and performance.
- Integrate new technologies into new and existing systems, including transition and migration of corporate systems.
- Support hardware infrastructure site surveys, planning, and design.
- Provide transition planning and support services to accelerate delivery timelines, reduce operational risk, and ensure service continuity during transition.
- Support migration of existing services between environments, migration of users from existing service platforms to new offerings, and transition of services into operations.
- Maintain documentation for network configurations, procedures, and incidents to ensure compliance with best practices and industry standards.
- Work individually and actively participate on integrated teams.
- Understand and apply advanced concepts and processes to daily activities.
- Assist Lead Services Engineers in implementing their activities.
- Perform all tasks of lower-level technicians or specialists.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent work experience.
- 10+ years of related work experience.
- TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance (required).
- Advanced knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP, MPLS, etc.).
- Expertise in configuring and managing enterprise-level network equipment (Cisco, Juniper, etc.).
- Strong understanding of network security principles and best practices.
- Proficiency in network monitoring and analysis tools.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and leadership abilities.
Qualifications
- Desired certifications such as JNCIA, JNCIP, CCNA, CCNP, or similar are highly preferred.
- Familiarity with ITIL framework and service management best practices.

Pay
Proposed salary range for this position is $115,600 - $254,200 USD. Final salary influenced by factors such as geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories, relevant prior work experience, specific skills, competencies, education, and certifications.
