Responsibilities
- Review detailed network designs and network configurations to ensure consistency with the architecture, as well as gain insight into optimizing network architectures based on real-world applications
- Create, update, and maintain system level baseline documentation to include block diagrams, Simple Network Diagrams (SND), Detailed Network Diagrams (DND), and router & switch configuration Templates
- Implement network and operating System Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) to secure all aspects of the network
- Aid in providing IATT and ATO packages for lab environments
- Provide network expertise and establish connections on site installations
- Provide engineering expertise and troubleshooting skills to solve problems and restore reliability to the network and associated systems
- Provide inputs to routine weekly meetings, status updates, site calls, and written documentation for procedures, trip reports, and network analysis
- Work closely with other departments/organizations and collaborate with other IT staff on infrastructure activities
- Support customer’s briefings and design reviews, and work independently in a multi-tasking environment
Requirements
- Seven (7) years' experience working independently and/or as part of a Network team to configure, install, support and maintain network hardware and software infrastructure including switches, routers (Cisco, Ruckus/Brocade), firewalls (Juniper), Encryption Devices (KG175x) etc.
- Maintain and monitor network security and ensure corporate security compliance
- Five (5) years’ experience in system administration of LAN/WAN systems, network security, systems maintenance, systems monitoring/reporting, requirements analysis, requirements planning, resource scheduling, configuration management, and documentation management
- Strong knowledge of Layer 2 switching
- Knowledge of basic concepts, terminology, and operations of a wide range of communications media (computer and telephone networks, satellite, fiber, wireless)
- Ability to develop and write Standard Operating Procedures for technical and non-technical consumers as well as Network Diagrams
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Cisco CCNA Certification or equivalent (e.g. JNCIA, Network +)
- Must be able to move/lift up to 50 lbs
- Flexible with work schedule to include occasional weekends and holidays
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education and/or advanced certification; a Master's degree will be considered in lieu of 3 years of professional experience; a PHD will be considered in lieu of 5 years of professional experience

Pay
The projected compensation range is $100,000 - $151,000 per year.
Schedule
This position currently requires an on-site schedule, with 5 days on-site and is eligible for Compressed Work Schedule (CWS). Schedule is subject to change based on company/contract requirements.
