About the role
A well-designed network is critical to move data and enable the U.S. Army to achieve their mission. This opportunity requires a network engineer who can craft the exact network the U.S. Army needs.
Responsibilities
- Help the U.S. Army build and maintain a reliable network to support critical training missions.
- Work with soldiers, other SMEs, and users to learn the strategic goals and operational needs that shape network requirements.
- Plan the acquisition, installation, configuration, and maintenance of network components.
- Resolve interoperability issues across platforms, and support the acquisition of hardware.
Requirements
- Experience researching and recommending network and server hardware and software for large complex networks.
- Develop, maintain, and implement network support.
- Maintain and enforce security procedures.
- Monitor, analyze, troubleshoot, and evaluate hardware, software, and network problems.
Qualifications
- Ability to meet with clients to plan, analyze, design, and test computer applications to ensure computer software and applications adhere to the organizational plan.
- Work weekends, holidays, and up to 12 hours a day outside of normal work hours.
Skills
- Experience administering accounts, creating organizational units, mapping users and computers, and assisting with creating or managing group policies within Active Directory.
- Experience configuring, managing, and maintaining virtual servers, networks, and connected clients using VMware vSphere.
- Experience with set up, networking, troubleshooting, and use of Army Mission Command Information Systems.
- Experience with set up, networking, and troubleshooting of Joint Land Component Constructive Training Capability (JLCCTC).

Pay
The projected compensation range for this position is $61,900.00 to $141,000.00 (annualized USD).
Schedule
This position may require occasional work beyond normal business hours, including weekends and holidays.
