About the role

A well-designed network is critical to move data and enable the U.S. Army to achieve their mission. This opportunity requires a network engineer who can craft the exact network the U.S. Army needs.

Responsibilities

  • Help the U.S. Army build and maintain a reliable network to support critical training missions.
  • Work with soldiers, other SMEs, and users to learn the strategic goals and operational needs that shape network requirements.
  • Plan the acquisition, installation, configuration, and maintenance of network components.
  • Resolve interoperability issues across platforms, and support the acquisition of hardware.

Requirements

  • Experience researching and recommending network and server hardware and software for large complex networks.
  • Develop, maintain, and implement network support.
  • Maintain and enforce security procedures.
  • Monitor, analyze, troubleshoot, and evaluate hardware, software, and network problems.

Qualifications

  • Ability to meet with clients to plan, analyze, design, and test computer applications to ensure computer software and applications adhere to the organizational plan.
  • Work weekends, holidays, and up to 12 hours a day outside of normal work hours.

Skills

  • Experience administering accounts, creating organizational units, mapping users and computers, and assisting with creating or managing group policies within Active Directory.
  • Experience configuring, managing, and maintaining virtual servers, networks, and connected clients using VMware vSphere.
  • Experience with set up, networking, troubleshooting, and use of Army Mission Command Information Systems.
  • Experience with set up, networking, and troubleshooting of Joint Land Component Constructive Training Capability (JLCCTC).

Pay

The projected compensation range for this position is $61,900.00 to $141,000.00 (annualized USD).

Schedule

This position may require occasional work beyond normal business hours, including weekends and holidays.
