About the role
The Network Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining wireless networks within an organization. This includes surveying wireless environments, configuring, testing, deploying, and troubleshooting wireless Access Points (APs).
Responsibilities
- Survey wireless environments to identify optimal network configurations.
- Configure, test, and deploy wireless APs to meet organizational needs.
- Maintain and troubleshoot existing wireless networks to ensure reliability and performance.
- Collaborate with other IT teams to integrate wireless solutions into broader IT infrastructure.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience in network engineering or related field.
- Proven experience with wireless networking technologies and protocols.
- Strong understanding of network architecture and security best practices.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- CCNA or equivalent certification preferred.
Skills
- Wireless networking technologies (e.g., 802.11a/b/g/n/ac).
- Network configuration and management tools (e.g., Cisco Configuration Professional, AirMagnet).
- Security protocols and practices (e.g., WPA2, VLANs).
- Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
