Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain enterprise LAN, WAN, wireless, and data center network infrastructure.
- Install, configure, and support network equipment including routers, switches, firewalls, wireless controllers, proxy servers, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, and WAN optimization devices.
- Configure and manage routing and switching technologies to maximize network performance and security.
- Maintain accurate network documentation, diagrams, inventories, and standard operating procedures.
- Ensure compliance with organizational security policies and industry best practices.
- Prepare technical reports, project updates, and network status reports for stakeholders.
- Participate in on-call support and after-hours maintenance as required.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent work experience).
- Experience: 5+ years of experience supporting enterprise network infrastructure.
- Required Experience: Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, VLANs, and enterprise routing and switching.
- Experience: Experience configuring and supporting Extreme network infrastructure.
- Experience: Experience with firewalls, VPN technologies, DNS, DHCP, NAT, and network security principles.
- Experience: Experience troubleshooting complex network issues using industry-standard tools.
- Knowledge: Strong Linux knowledge.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of network monitoring and performance management platforms.
- Skills: Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities.
