Network Engineer - Level 2

Northrop Grumman's Space Sector is seeking a Network Engineer - Level 2 to join our team in Redondo Beach, CA. This role provides network technical expertise to a large Space Program. Continued employment is contingent upon obtaining and maintaining required clearances, program access, and associated business or customer funding.
Responsibilities
- Design, deployment, and maintenance of networks.
- Interface with other groups to understand customer network requirements, including implementation of DISA STIGs.
- Evaluate vendor products and provide recommendations for hardware and software purchases.
- Provide backup recovery, maintain system documentation, tune system performance, and manage computing assets.
- Architect and assist in the successful deployment of international networks.
- Implement Cyber requirements via STIG automation.
- Integrate networks, time servers, and other network devices.
- Assist with integrating products within labs and development environments.
- Help maintain the information assurance posture of the system.
- Formulate innovative solutions to problems as they arise.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree with 2 years of relevant experience OR Master's degree; an additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
- Active Top Secret clearance required at the time of application, with the ability to obtain and maintain SCI and CI Polygraph prior to start.
- Experience with IP subnetting.
- Experience with L1 through L3 networking.
- Experience with static and dynamic routing protocols.
- Knowledge of Cisco Systems networking, including deployment of complex WAN configurations across multiple sites (including international).
- Knowledge of DISA STIGs as they apply to network devices.
- Security+ Certification.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with SolarWinds network monitoring.
- Experience with Cisco ISE applications.
- Experience with Crypto units.
- Microsoft Visio diagram creation.
- CISSP or Microsoft OS Certification.
Pay
Primary level salary range: $83,400.00 - $125,200.00. The final offer considers scope and responsibilities of the position, as well as the candidate's experience, education, skills, and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses reward individual contributions and allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
