Network Engineer L1 L2

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Network Engineer to design, implement, operate, and support enterprise, data center, cloud, and market data network infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, maintain, and troubleshoot enterprise LAN, WAN, and data center networks.
• Configure and support Cisco, Arista, and Juniper networking equipment.
• Manage TCP/IP, VLANs, STP, OSPF, BGP, VRRP/HSRP, ACLs, NAT, QoS, DNS, DHCP, and VPNs.
• Administer Palo Alto Firewalls including Security Policies, NAT, GlobalProtect, IPSec VPN, HA, URL Filtering, and Threat Prevention.
• Configure and support Arista EOS, MLAG, LACP, Port Channels, Spine-Leaf architecture, and firmware upgrades. VXLAN/EVPN preferred.
• Design and support AWS networking including VPC, Route Tables, Security Groups, Transit Gateway, AWS Direct Connect, Site-to-Site VPN, ALB/NLB, and hybrid connectivity.
• Support Corporate Wi-Fi, Wireless Controllers, Guest Wi-Fi, and 802.1X authentication.
• Support low-latency Market Data Networking including IP Multicast, PIM, IGMP, multicast routing, and exchange connectivity.
• Work with Palo Alto, Arista, Cisco, AWS, ISPs, telecom providers, and market data vendors.
• Participate in production support, incident response, root cause analysis, documentation, and change management.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
• 5-8+ years of enterprise networking experience.
• Experience supporting mission-critical production environments.
• Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.

Schedule

Hybrid: 3 days a week in-person at Englewood Cliff, NJ. One in-person interview round at the client location is mandatory.
